You could say, the media is designed to have multiple firewall levels for each level of awareness in the population. Each level gives you more truth, but until you breach all the levels, you will still be in the dark.
The 1st level is the "celebrity/tabloid level." This one snags quite a bit of people, right away. These are the folks that are easily controlled, easily entertained, and fall for all the sensationalism in society today. These folks are no threat to the establishment as they have no desire to know anything important. Celebrities of all walks of life tend to be used here to sell propaganda to the masses as well based merely on their status and not any truth or facts.
The 2nd level is the "local/nanny news" that many folks tune into and mistaken for "real" news. All it really is, is a local breakdown and dramatization of select pieces of events that happen in the region that "they" see as effective enough to create emotional responses to control the masses on a local level. This is also where the most repulsive "fake" news takes place. The "Nanny" news is anytime they decide it is their duty to tell the public how to live, eat, take care of their children, and dress when you walk outside of your house. This is those "reports" where they get the so-called "expert" to come on and let you know that you need to "bundle-up" when you go outside because its cold and you might catch cold. If you do catch a cold it's important to drink plenty of fluids and get good rest........ ....on and on and on." It's the most dehumanizing and elitist form of news that they feed to the masses that choose to be "out-of-the- loop" on truly important issues.
The 3rd level is a cleanup level for the first two. The first two are designed to "nail" women far more than men. So, to take care of the men, they give you "sports media." Yes, ESPN is the 3rd level of media designed to trap and control the many folks that think sports are the life-blood of America. These are mostly guys who think "Children's games" actually meen something. These are the ones that couldn't tell you a thing about our Republic, but know all the super bowl winners in the NFL. These folks are also very controlled by groups like the NCAA which funnels millions into the universities that act as the "gateways" to success in careers.
These 3 levels alone take out, easily, 60-70% of citizens and goes a long way to making the deconstruction of our society fairly uncontested by the masses.
The next levels are to control the "fairly" to "greatly" informed citizens that tend to take at least some interest in the future of the republic. The first 3 levels are to control the "mindless" masses that are hardly a factor in enlightened circles.
The 4th level is the "mainstream" media. This is the most visible media that is built on basic "progressive/ socialist" agenda. It's purpose is to control the folks that still crave "style" over "substance" in their news reporting. This level is run by the emotional "bumper-sticker" slogan crowd. It is also the "heart" of the Republican (right) vs. Democrat (left) circus show establishment that is used as a front to the idea that the "democracy" still exists in society. This is the media level that pushes ideals that the nation is a democracy when in reality it's a constitutional republic. Ideas such that the constitution is "living" originate from this media. The basic purpose of this level is to convince it's watchers that advancement and progress is embodied in the forward march toward larger and more intrusive beurocracy. It tends to reinforce progressive policy which favors the "left" in the political show on most issues and the commentaries support it as "common sense" and "practicality" without question. The intentions are what matters and the results are not needed for this group of watchers as long as more intentions flood the scene to distract them from the results. This is the fastest shrinking group that at one time was the largest group of "informed" media patrons. While they encompass the largest sectors of media, they have the smallest number of followers after level 3 per outlet. Mass defections from this level have taken place with the obvious control mechanisms of the progressives becoming very visible at this level. In desparation to keep the masses from leaving for "higher-ground" certain networks and outlets at this level have openly embraced the "progressive" movement and further alienated those that see through the misinformation it produces. In the attempt to remain relavant and discredit the higher-levels, many outlets have attempted to create the "left/right" paradigm as a sensational war amongst news agencies as a way to create the idea that the next level is simply "right-wing" propaganda and that it's now their duty to create "left-wing" propaganda to create a mythical "balance" in journalism, further eroding their credibility as a legitimate information outlet by their own agenda and admissions. Most of the folks that have once embodied this "established" level have gone up to the next "firewall" that has been created to attempt to control the masses. Still, many remain loyal to this firewall as they are misinterpret it as still being moderate with "journalistic" integrity. While the next level is dominated by the "right-wing" of the paradigm that level 4 has created, it is merely another evolutionary movement toward being further informed.
In a nutshell, at these upper levels you end up with informed liberals/socialists , conservatives/neocons, and libertarians (constitutionalists). The fifth level is where the conservatives and libertarians advance and leave the liberals at level 4. This is due to the fact that these last two groups do not buy into the main-stream media's establisment news reporting and see through the limitations and controls that level 4 uses to enslave viewers into emotional states and paradigms that include societal control through racism, segregations, platitudes, political correctness and general emotional satisfactions. Any legitimate information provided at level 4 is discredited by the very agenda and propaganda that envelops it by their own admissions and actions. The loyalists to level 4 will not advance to level 5 due to the next level's challenging of their established and conditioned belief system. Some have, however, evolved past this level and adopted some of the "level 5" information and advanced directly to level 6 which is the level that is beyond all existing firewalls.
Level 5 is the domain of the conservative or neo-con. This level is known as the Limited Alternative Media. This is the talk-radio, Fox News, Heritage Foundation level. It is currently the largest media above level 3. This level was established to cater to those that evolved beyond level 4, but over time establishment has voluntarily engaged in promoting it to control the "conservative" movement by disclosing the truth on much of the issues of today and our society and world. It exposes the progressive agenda of the "left" and all the lower levels of the media. It does not try to hide these truths from this group as it will not be effective at this point in controlling these folks. What is does do is expose the truths of history, economics, government, politics, environment, business, corporations, energy, war, etc. It challenges the establishment and academic versions of history and delves into the previously unpopular review of a much deeper account of history and news. As time goes by, the pundits slowly reveal more and more information at a slow and controlled rate as to attempt to "cut-off" a run-away intellectual movement. What it doesn't do is enlighten the viewer as to what the underlying causes, powers, and structure that runs it all truly is. The two great limitations of this level which makes it the last level of defense for the establishment are blind patriotism/support for state and news qualification.
This level is used to re-establish blind patriotism that was paramount in level 4 during events such as WWI and WWII. While level 4 has abandoned this, to the most part, they have done so for less than "honest" reasons. Level 4 has just been re-stocked with folks that only do this when it meets their objective. What the current masters of level 4 tend to do instead of promoting blind-patriotism, they just "taylor" the news to what they want you to know. They over-report when they want you to "doubt" the agenda and they under-report when they don't want you to be critical. This is the "media bias" that has driven the masses from level 4 to level 5. This has also fueled the "blind" faith in military, government, and intelligence when it comes to foreign policy issues that tends to plague this group of folks. Ironically, this is the most important line of defense that must be maintained by the establishment. Level 4's media biases have established themselves as a "lightning rod" that has unintentionally created "blind patriotism" at level 5. This has conditioned it's audience to not question the "dark" areas that are not fully explained. These two levels are the respective "camps" of the left/right paradigm that the establishment has seized onto in a last ditch effort to control information. The second limitation at this level is legitimate "qualification. " In plain terms, they determine what is fact and what is conspiracy based, not on facts, but on popularity. While both levels 4 and 5 engage in this limitation, level 5 is more important to the establishment as it is the final "line-of-defense" before the ultimate truth is revealed. This is the gateway between level 5 and the enlightened level 6. In this final "firewall" battle, they attempt to simply disqualify "factual" but inconvenient truths as conspiracy theories. It is the ultimate "blind-denial" that the establishment uses as a last-ditch resort. Many of these so-called "conspiracy theories" that can't be disproved are simply managed at this level for as long as it can be in the hope it will dissappear or lose it's "sting" over time. Today, much of these "conspiracy theories" as they have cited them, are now being exposed as truth and are paramount in the final evolution of the informed citizen.
In simple terms, "blind patriotism" deverts any critism of the establishment, and the "news qualification" keeps the establishment hidden from plain view.
Level 6, quite simply, is pure and unfiltered truth. It is verified media information that is dispensed without agenda and with the intention of merely informing the masses. It is the "independent media." It breaks through these final two lines of defense that exist at level 5.
This is the fastest growing media and is fueled by true "patriots" and care-takers of the founding visions of this nation. It is mostly underground, internet driven, activists that engage in open and factually verifiable information. Most don't know of it because it has been labled by the first 5 levels as conspiracy or extreme "right-wing" propaganda. It is not an official media firewall, because it's not actually established. It's only based in constitutional law and recorded history. Only a handful of politicians dare embrace this media. This is where the enlightened separate themselves from their liberal cousins and their conservative brothers. This tends to be the realm of the modern libertarian or constitutionalist. Most importantly, in it's simplicity, it is the average citizen simply taking in all the reporting, verifying it, and making conclusions based on evidence and truth. Immune to the attacks from the other 5 levels of media and the strength to stand against them. Everyday more and more people are defecting from levels 4 and 5 and going to level 6. But if you don't fully embrace the truth and the founder's vision for this nation, even if you adopt some of the truths that are present at level 6, you will not achieve this level of understanding and will still be stopped at one of the previous firewalls.
